What fabric can I use?

The best fabric to use for your punch needle project is called "Monk's Cloth". It's very hard to find in Europe.  I'm working with a German manufacturer who is producing Monk's Cloth just for The Joyful Punch. Find it in the shop. 

Loosely woven linen is an alternative to monk's cloth, especially for the finer needles.

ATTENTION: Do not use burlap / jute. At first it seems to be working, but it tends to break when it ages and there is a danger of your work breaking apart.
