The Joyful Punch was founded in September of 2017 by Emily Pelich, a DIY enthusiast and entrepreneur from Berlin, Germany. Being fascinated by the ease and fun of punch needle rug hooking, Emily set out to make this craft more accessible for European crafters.
The Joyful Punch was one of very few sources where the European DIY community could find Amy Oxford’s original punch needle. I’ve since stoped importing the Oxford punch needle for logistical reasons. In my shop you can still find other tools and materials needed to start punching: alternative punch needles, monk's cloth, stretcher bars, a selection of wool, and design templates.
In addition The Joyful Punch offers tutorials and support in answering the most common questions around punch needle style rug hooking.
